Balance by CCHP is partnered with Birdi, formerly MedImpact’s Direct Mail Program, to provide you with a mail pharmacy for home delivery of maintenance medicine.

As a Balance member, you can take advantage of free mail-order pharmacy services through Birdi Pharmacy. You can receive up to a 90-day supply of covered maintenance medications delivered directly to your home, safely and securely. This eliminates the need for trips to the pharmacy, waiting in line, saving you time and money. Additionally, Birdi offers refill reminders to ensure you always have the right amount of medication on hand. It’s a simple and convenient way to manage your prescriptions.

Registering for Birdi

You can register using one of the following methods:

You will receive a confirmation email from Birdi after registration.  Please add the Birdi email address to your safe recipients list.  If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your junk email.  This will ensure Birdi email notifications go directly to your inbox when you sign up for email notifications.

Once you register, you may view details about your medicine, request new prescriptions or refills, and manage your shipping and payment details online or through the app. You can request phone, email, or text updates about your orders. Orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days from receipt of a prescription.

  • Set up automated reminders and alerts.
  • Manage account information.
  • Review the estimated copay amount.

How to Use Birdi

Set Up New Prescriptions

Option A: Your Doctor Sends Your Prescription to Birdi
Ask your doctor to send your prescriptions electronically or fax directly to 1-888-783-1773.

Birdi can only accept electronic prescriptions and faxes from your doctor. They will automatically fill and ship most new prescriptions they get from your doctor, except for controlled substances. Controlled substances will not be shipped without your approval.

When Birdi receives a new prescription from your doctor, Birdi will process the order and ship it to you at the primary address on your patient profile.

Option B: Through the MedImpact website
Sign in to your MedImpact Account.  Choose “Request a Prescription” at the top of the “My Medications > Prescription List” and follow the instructions.

Find the Status of My Orders

Sign in to your MedImpact Account or use the MedImpact App

Select “My Medications”.

Transfer My Prescription(s)

We recommend registering and completing a profile with Birdi via MedImpact to ensure a more personalized and secure experience. It helps keep your information organized and provides easy access to tailored services.

Transfer my existing prescription from another mail-order service.

  • Depending on your current mail-order pharmacy, Birdi may have received an electronic transfer of your prescription refills.
  • Call Birdi at 1-855-873-8739 (TTY 711).
  • Request new prescriptions through your MedImpact Account online or on the MedImpact App.  Choose “Request a Prescription” at the top of “My Medications > Prescription List”.

You will need to contact your doctor for a new prescription for controlled substances.

Transfer my existing prescription from another retail pharmacy.

You can request a prescription transfer for most medications through your MedImpact Account online or on the MedImpact App by choosing “Prescription Transfer” at the top of “My Medications -> Prescription List”.

You will need to contact your doctor for a new prescription for controlled substances.

Enroll into Auto Refills

To enroll eligible prescriptions to Auto-Refill, sign in to your MedImpact Account or use the MedImpact App.  Click on “My Medications > Prescription List” and adjust the Auto-Refill toggle(s).

Prescriptions enrolled in Auto-Refill will be shipped out before your current prescription runs out, so you won’t have to worry about running low.

My Medications were Damaged During Shipping

Always check your prescription order as soon as it arrives for damage and accuracy.

If your order is incorrect or damaged, contact Birdi within 14 days of receiving your order.

Disposal of Medications

Expired, broken, or unwanted medicines, including transdermal patches, must be disposed of with care. Medical supplies like needles, syringes, and diabetic testing supplies must also be disposed of properly.

If you have questions for a pharmacist about the disposal of your medicines or supplies, call Birdi at 1-855-873-8739 (TTY 711) or email at [email protected].  Birdi will respond to your email within 2 business days.  Please do not include any personal information in your email for your own privacy and security.

Non-urgent messages are handled the next business day by pharmacy staff.
